Studying abroad will probably be one of the best experiences of your life; and taking that first step in finding a host family can be exciting. But trying to think through all the details can be a bit overwhelming...that's why we're here!  From the moment you arrive to the day you depart, MIF will guide you safely through this this memorable time in your life.  All our families have been carefully screened and selected to align with Prestonwood Christian Academy Christian faith values, and to guarantee you the best possible home away from home.  

STEPS OF THE APPLICATION AND PLACEMENT PROCESS:

Although each placement may vary slightly, the general steps of the homestay application and placement process are as follows: 

1. Submit your Homestay Application
2. Get connected to your Homestay Coordinator
3. Receive pricing that's specific to your program, location and transportation needs
4. Your Homestay Coordinator reaches out to local hosts to confirm their availability for your program and length of stay
5. View profiles of available families and choose your host family from these available options
6. Sign and return your Homestay Contract with payment
7. Get connected to your host family prior to arrival
8. Arrive and begin your homestay!
