In addition to commissions, MIF has a generous referral rate which is paid quarterly. Under the referral program, teachers can refer other teachers to MIF and receive commissions when those teachers recruit students to MIF programs. A teacher who refers another teacher will receive a 3% commission per student that books through the referred teacher. Additionally, the teacher will receive 1% for any bookings completed through a referred teacher's referral.
These commission rates stay in effect for two years following the initial referral. By building up a network of referrals, teachers can dramatically increase their number of commissions.
See below for an explanation of our referral program as stated in our Teacher Terms of Agreement:
In addition to a commission, teachers also have the opportunity to earn money by referring other teachers to our programs.
A teacher who refers another teacher will receive 3% per student that books through the referred teacher and 1% for bookings through a referred teacher's referral. Example: If teacher A refers teacher B and teacher B refers teacher C, when teacher C recruits students and receives his or her commission, teacher B receives a 3% commission and teacher A receives a 1% commission on that booking.
These referral commissions will be paid for a period of two years following the initial referral.
Many of our policies have been created to build a sense of cooperation and mutual benefit among our teachers, host families, employees, and students. As other ideas come to mind, please let us know how we can improve our engagement practices.
